This Child's parents are poor, illiterate and come from Kadayanallur.  They have 5 daughters and the above child is the second one.  She was attacked by polio at her 2nd year, both legs being affected. Amar Seva Sangam found the girl in utter despair, unable to attend school and even take care of her personal needs.

Now she is in home care, had a corrective surgery and has improved to the extent of able to fold and stretch her legs. She is given schooling and physiotherapy and is shaping up well as a cheerful young girl.
