Born in 1994, A. Mohamed Meeran comes from Tenkasi and is the son of  N. Abdul Jadar and Shakila Banu.  His father, Abdul is employed as a coolie and has an eighth grade education, while his mother is a housewife with a fifth grade education. Per month, the family can anticipate a salary of approximately 1500 rupees. Due to his sponsorship, Meeran can now eat and drink independantly.
