in 1995,
I. Sakthivel is
the son of Iyyappan and Mariammal. His father, Iyyappan, is
employed as a coolie and has a fifth grade education. His mother
studied until the fourth grade and is currently a housewife. Per
month, the family can anticipate a salary of 500-1500 rupees. Due to
his sponsorship, Sakthivel can now eat, drink and communicate some
things independantly. His social, personal, and academic skills have
improved greatly. This would not be possible without the exceptional
