HCI, Amar Seva Sangam and the parents offer their heartfelt gratitude to Gita & Sankaran, for his generosity and kind heartedness.

Though the boy is behind in schooling, he is getting his vital basic education and being rehabilitated at the same time. He is an above average student as can be seen in the progress reports and this feat would not have been possible without the help of the sponsors.

Reboy's both legs had been affected by polio at the age of 18 months. Parents gave treatment only intermittently at various places.  Being poor and daily wage earners, they were unable to give continuous treatment. Hearing about the  social services of the Amar Seva Sangam through field workers they brought the boy to the Sangam.  The boy was referred to the medical team under Dr.Ramar, Physiatrist.  He was admitted to the Amar Seva Sangam's Home for the Handicapped.  He was administered treatment prescribed and all the appliances (caliper) have been provided.  He was admitted in the Sivasaraswathy Vidyalaya of the Sangam. Besides, education, the child took interest in extra curricular activities, which created abundant self-confidence.

Parents, relations and neighbors are extremely pleased and delighted on the improvement of the boy.  Amar Seva Sangam is providing all the necessary requirements and help for the upkeep and betterment of the boy in tune with its motto.

After rehabilitation, he was put in to the out reach program (village based). The parents were advised to admit the boy in nearby School for further studies. School fees, uniform, notebooks medicines and private tuition are provided by Amar Seva Sangam. Our field workers monitor their progress periodically.

Twice a year, during May and December, Reboy is asked to report at the Sangam for a week for practical training and exercises.  The boy is also referred to the medical team to guarantee proper medical treatment. They ensure that he is provided with the necessary medicine, exercises and instructions to ensure further progress.
