Family Details:
N. Mala is the daughter of R. Natarajan and Saroja. Her father is
employed as a coolie and has attended school until the 10th
grade.
Her mother attended school until the 5th grade and is a house wife.
Per month the family receives a salary of 1500-2500 rupees.

Mala has
been integrated into the regular school system and is currently in the
fourth grade. Long-term goals for Mala include the introduction of
money, time and color, as well as the development of stronger social
skills. She also requires further training in daily assisted living
skills. In addition, she will undergo training and exercises to improve
her memory. Finally, Mala’s management plan includes providing
educational counseling and support to her parents.
