Delayed birth cry. Doctors did not say
anything. Developed fits after a week. The
Child is on medication for fits.
Nature of Disability - Spastic Right Hemiplegic
Condition of the child on admission.
The Child is in lying position. Does not turn, sit or attempt to stand. Hearing seems to be fair.
Training given at Nesam:
-Passive exercises are given to improve his muscle strength and thereby facilitate his sitting
-The Child is put in ‘Early Intervention programme’ and is included in group singing sessions to improve his receptive and expressive language.
-At lot of Visual. Auditory and tactile Stimuli are given to improve his senses.
-The Mother is taught the correct feeding position, carrying position etc.
