Wilson is a vibrant young 22-year-old man born on March 13, 1983. Wilson’s family consists of his parents, who are farmers, his two older brothers and older sister.

Wilson learned of Amar Seva Sangam through his own research and will to pursue higher secondary education. Prior to coming to ASSA he was unable to attend college due to his inability to walk. Wilson came to ASSA in November 2000. Coming here has given him the opportunity to complete a Certificate course in Computing (CIC) and a Bachelor of Computing Application (B.C.A.) degree. Currently he is in 2nd year of  M.C.A. While studying, Wilson is also working in the ASSA main office as a hardware technician and doing multimedia work. His goal is to become a software engineer. Wilson excels in with computers, web page design, and multimedia. However, he feels he was held back due to his inability to walk. He feels that coming to Sangam helped him get closer to his goals. Wilson gets emotional as he speaks about his life before ASSA and how it might have been without the help of his sponsors.

At age 20, Wilson underwent surgery in his legs to gain function of his legs. However, his surgery was unsuccessful. At ASSA Wilson has a daily, one-hour exercise regimen, which has helped him gain function in his legs. With the help of calipers and crutches, Wilson is an independent person.

Wilson’s favorite thing to do is learn. He wants to continue his education as much as possible. He also enjoys listening to music and playing computer games. His favorite games are racing car games.

Wilson would like to send this message to his sponsors:

“Thank you for your help because I got a lot of knowledge with your help. I never forget your help in my future. I got gold medal in computer hardware within 12 districts through your help. I am also help to disabled students like you helped me. I want more help from sponsors for more multimedia software, web design software, hardware courses. Please, can you help me?”
