Disabled youth between the ages 18 and 25 are recruited under this scheme. These youth are high school graduates and are enrolled in various Degree and Diploma programs, carefully chosen for individual abilities and opportunities. Training is given in computers, mechanical repairs, typing, data entry, sewing, crafts and so on. $600 CDN will train one disabled youth for a full year, including boarding & lodging. Since HCI started supporting this endeavor in 2002 with just 5 youth. Since 2004, we have sponsored 25 youth per year. Today, 82 disabled youth have completed the training and found employment.
