Jegan, a victim of polio, which usually affects the legs, has the rare affliction of upper limbs and trunk. Born in a rural, very poor family, he joined ASSA at the age of six. ASSA has been giving home care, education, physiotherapy and specialized rehab programs. Jegan, who could not even hold a pen or spoon, completed high school in 2005 and moved on to higher studies while getting hands on training in computer hardware. He has completed B.Com, 2nd year in 2010 and currently doing 3rd year. Simultaneously he is doing DTP (Desk Top Publishing) and MS Office courses.

He is now under SAY sponsorship.
