Jegan, a victim of polio, which usually affects the legs, has the rare affliction of upper limbs and trunk. Born in a rural, very poor family, he joined ASSA at the age of six. ASSA has been giving home care, education, physiotherapy and specialized rehab programs. Jegan, who could not even hold a pen or spoon, has now graduated from grade 10. He can write, type, feed and bathe himself.
This is a dream come true!!
Our heart felt gratitude go to the Panchapakesans of Mississauga, especially Anu and Vivek Panchapakesan, who at a very young age found the empathy and generosity to sponsor the rehab of Jegan.
