Your Donation to Handi-Care Will:
- Provide safety kits, protective equipment to vulnerable families and front-line workers
- Help procure medical oxygen and essential medications for families in need
- Assist vulnerable families affected by COVID-19 to meet their immediate food and health needs
- Provide education on home treatment (using oxygen, positioning, hygiene, etc.)
Handi-Care Intl. has been supporting Amar Seva Sangam (ASSA) since 1991. ASSA provides services for people with disabilities in rural communities of Tamil Nadu, India across 4 districts. Beds in government hospitals in these districts are getting full and many patients with COVID-19 are being asked to self-treat at home, even if they require oxygen. However, most families are unable to procure or afford life-saving treatment including oxygen, anti-viral (remdesivir) and protective equipment to protect family member. This is especially affecting poor families and people with disabilities as they can not afford hospitalization at private hospitals.
Many of you have sponsored children under our “Adopt A child” program and please realize that these children and their families are under increased risk.
We appeal to you for help by way of donation of any amount towards this very urgent cause, preferably thru e-transfer to info@handicareintl.org. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 and more. In the comment section, please indicate “Covid Relief.”
