MEAL FOR A DAY / CAMPUS FEEDING

Feed children with disabilities on a special day through Campus Feeding or Meal for a Day (MFAD).

Background

This is a very popular program of special interest to all, where you can choose to celebrate your birthday, wedding anniversary or any other occasion by offering meals to special needs children and youth who are also economically backward. You may also want to offer meals in the name of a dear one’s memorial day. With an endowment created in your name, this feeding will happen on that day every year, for a minimum of 25 years from the year the donation is received.

An average of 100,000 meals are served every year.

Meal For A Day Option

  • Option 1: Interest earned, along with a small portion of the capital on a donation of $2500 CDN will be used to feed 300 children with special needs at Amar Seva Sangam for the chosen day each year for 25 consecutive years. Donor has to inform us of the date, occasion (Ex: Birthday / Wedding or death anniversary etc..) and the name for whom the sponsorship is done (Ex: name of donor / or whose ever birthday it is and so on..)
  • Option 2 : Interest earned along with a small portion of the capital on a donation of $600 CDN will be used to feed  75 children with special needs  at Amar Seva Sangam for the chosen day each year for 25 consecutive years. Donor has to inform us of that date, occasion (Ex: Birthday / Wedding or death anniversary etc..) and the name for whom the sponsorship is done (Ex: name of donor / or whose ever birthday it is and so on..)
  • Option 3 : Interest earned along with a small portion of the capital on a donation of $250 CDN will be used to feed 30 children with special needs at Amar Seva Sangam for the chosen day each year for 25 consecutive years. Donor has to inform us of that date, occasion (Ex: Birthday / Wedding or death anniversary etc..) and the name for whom the sponsorship is done (Ex: name of donor / or whose ever birthday it is and so on..)

There are over 400 children and youth at Amar Seva Sangam and close to 700 meals are served on a daily basis. We can accept several $250 CDN MFAD endowments per day. Our goal is to set up a sizable amount so that all days of feedings for all children at Amar Seva Sangam in a year can be covered.

Be assured that your special days are being honoured by ASSA as the children recognize that it is you who is providing them with a meal. Special Day Campus Feeding

You can celebrate your special day by choosing the Campus Feeding Option. 

  • Mini feeding plan – For $300, 400 children with varying disabilities and ages (residents and day attendees) will receive a special meal. 
  • For $550, the entire campus of about 700 people, including staff, children, youth, visiting Canadian students and volunteers, Indian students under training and VBR staffs receive a special meal on the date of your choice.
